Enhanced Timer Functionality: The Timer is now accessible from anywhere and can be started instantly. When the timer is stopped, a time entry form opens automatically so details can be reviewed and edited before saving. Time entries are now grouped by day in the Timer window. Previously saved timers can be restarted with one click and the earlier details are pre-filled. All entries are also available in a centralized My Timesheet for easy review and finalization.
Other Enhancements & Improvements: The Billable Clients view now shows matter names, allows filtering by matter status, and lists closed matters with WIP at the bottom. Numbers are now right-aligned and always shown with two decimal places in lists and reports. Email and SMS dropdowns now show actual email addresses and phone numbers. Users can quickly copy contact details. Expense receipts can be uploaded and viewed on expense records. Calendar events can be duplicated with one click. Workflow history now uses pagination to improve performance with large data sets.
Bug Fixes: Issues with phone logs, SMS sending, and lead visibility have been fixed. Timer problems when changing matters have been fixed. Invoice balances and due dates now display correctly. Stability and scrolling issues in workflow and SMS screens have been improved.
Major Performance Upgrade: This release delivers a significant performance upgrade across Lawcus, focused on speed, clarity, and scalability. Firms, especially those managing large and complex datasets will notice meaningful improvements in everyday workflows.

Significantly faster initial load times: Lawcus now loads faster when you sign in. Screens open more quickly, and the experience feels more responsive from the start.
Cleaner, more efficient dropdowns: Dropdowns now support typing to search instead of scrolling through long lists. This makes data entry faster and reduces selection errors.
Optimized performance for large datasets: Firms with many matters, contacts, tasks, invoices, and time entries will see smoother navigation and faster screen changes. Pages load more consistently even with heavy data.
Overall smoother user experience: These improvements work together to reduce friction across the platform—resulting in faster interactions, fewer slowdowns, and a more reliable experience during busy workdays.

Invoices & Billing: Issues with expense and activity type display during invoice creation are fixed. Flat-rate values now show correctly when converting leads to matters. Activities are now grouped correctly by billing type.
Appointments & Scheduling: Appointment and workflow emails now show the correct local time instead of UTC. Events created from the monthly calendar no longer default to all-day events.
Leads & Matters: Unsaved category edits no longer carry over to new forms. The “Not Hired Reason” now appears correctly when a lead is marked as not hired. Sorting by created date and created by now works in the leads list.
User Interface & System Behavior: Inactive users are now excluded from timekeeper and user picklists. Responsible attorney merge tags now work correctly in shared email templates. The menu bar now collapses automatically after a theme change. Phone logs now enable the Create button only after required fields are filled and clearly mark mandatory fields.

YoCierge is a leading provider of information security and record retrieval services for legal firms, insurance organizations, and individuals. YoCierge is now integrated with Lawcus to help transfer matter and contact information seamlessly, making the record retrieval process a matter of a few clicks.
We have updated the search results and now the results will show in a more detailed manner. It differentiates the results in the different groups i.e. Matters, Leads, Contacts, etc.
Other Changes:
Smith.ai integrates with Lawcus CRM, so each time one of our receptionists handles a call for your firm, the information will be automatically synced to your Lawcus account. In addition, you’ll be able to view every Smith.ai call in your Lawcus Interactions tab within your Lawcus account.
LEX Reception virtual receptionists take care of your calls while you care for business. By integrating Lex Reception with Lawcus, you get a robust system that warmly welcomes new leads and effectively incorporates them into your client intake and relationship management (CRM).
On the matter list view we added matter stats like total matters, open matters, closed matters, matters opened this month and matters opened last month.

Exit & Entry rules for automation: Entry rules have been added to define when a workflow starts. / Exit rules have also been added to define when a workflow ends.
Activities: -View how many hours you work daily, weekly, monthly, etc. -Export time entries, expense entries, or flat fees from right here! Just click on export, and you can export to CSV, PDF, or XLSX. -Set your own filters, and Lawcus will save your preferences for you. -Set activities list filtered by an attorney to see only your hours. -Total amount is now added at the bottom of the activity dashboard.
Matters: ‘Use template’ option available to assign multiple users to a case with their custom rate.
Settings – Manage Your Organization: Turn off billing for a specific account by selecting the billing status as ‘inactive.’ You will no longer be billed for this account. -Admin can see which users have turned on 2-factor-authentication.
Transaction section under matters now has ‘withdraw’ option available. Contacts: ‘Withdraw’ option also available under Contacts->Transactions.
Invoices: -All columns are now completely sortable so you can now sort by matter or other preferences.

Lawcus is happy to announce that we have released a new feature: Repeatable Related Contact Blocks for Intake Forms!
This further improvement will save you a significant amount of time during the intake form process and assist in staying organized with all related contacts. After selecting “related contact information” under question type, when creating a new intake form, fill in a contact name. Once a name is added, you have the option to make the related contact block repeatable to add more relationships (ex. Child).
Customization is also available to select which fields to display or remove and create your labels.
Here’s a highlight:
We are excited to launch the new same page conditional questions that are in addition to our existing skip logic based on the different pages. This feature gives you the ability to hide or show certain questions based on a specific answer. You can set up skip logic on a single choice question and indicate which questions/pages should be visible.
